We are pleased to announce that we will be once again, sponsoring a Novices’ Chase at Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday 16
th November. Starting at 1.15pm, our race is the second of the day – the Saturday being the middle day of the 3-day
Cheltenham November Meeting, whose main attraction will be
the BetVictor Gold Cup (2.25pm).
Described by the racecourse as ‘the biggest raceday outside of The Cheltenham Festival’, the event is a fantastic opportunity for all of the family to experience the thrill of National Hunt racing – and the many hospitality trappings that come with it too!
The Mallard Jewellers Novices’ Chase At The Cheltenham November Meeting
Sponsoring the race since 2015, this will be the fifth consecutive year that we have been involved. Last year’s mallardjewellers.com race
was won by the French 7 year-old, Ibis Du Rheu; priced at 11/2, the bay gelding stayed behind the leaders for much of the race, before striding into the lead in the last 2 furlongs and comfortably holding on for the win.
We’re very much looking forward to another exciting race at this year’s meeting, presenting the winner with the coveted Mallard trophy, enjoying the course’s hospitality and
perhaps putting a few bets on, ourselves!
What Else Is On?
Aside from our race and The BetVictor Gold Cup, there are five other races taking place on Saturday – as well as the following attractions away from the track:
- The Shopping Village. With over 70 tradestands, the November Meeting is the ideal place for you to start your Christmas shopping! Just a selection of products that will be on sale includes couture bags and belts, luxury home accessories, luxury children’s wear, artworks, bespoke tailoring and of course, hats!
- Hospitality. The racecourse has several hospitality facilities in which racegoers can enjoy exhilarating racing at the same time as the course’s award-winning dishes. Private boxes are also available to hire for you to combine comfort, convenience and luxury to provide your guests with a memorable day. Bars and restaurants are located around the course – including The November Lounge. New for 2019, The November Lounge can be found in the Club and Tattersalls Enclosures and includes a cash bar for all alcoholic drinks, free tea and coffee, a betting facility and live racing action on TV – the ideal base for the day.
- Entertainment. Aside from the Mallard Jewellers Cheltenham race (and the other exciting racing on the track!), there will more entertainment on the day with live music from The Wickermen in The Guinness Village for Club/Tattersalls Racegoers. Thinking about making an evening of it? The course’s event space ‘The Centaur’ will be providing complimentary live music after the racing by The Wandering Wings, who’ll be playing upbeat acoustic versions of classic pop, rock and soul hits.
General admission for the Saturday event is
£17.00 per person, with under-17s gaining free entry to all enclosures. You can
find out more information on the race day (as well as the Friday and Sunday
events), including the various ticket options (and how to purchase),

The gates open at 10 am, with The Shopping Village being open all day.
